Personal Banking
Certificates of Deposit (CDs)
Traditional and FLEX CD
CDs are interest-earning vehicles that keep your funds on deposit for an agreed length of time. CDs are said to have 'matured' when their term is up. There is often a penalty for withdrawing your funds before the maturity date. In return the bank pays a higher interest rate than a savings or money market account.
At Union Bank the interest your CD earns doesn't have to remain in the CD until maturity. We can set up an automatic deposit for the interest into your UB checking or savings account. You may also use your CD as collateral for a loan. Union Bank offers a variety of terms and options to tailor your CD to meet your needs.
A FLEX CD is an alternative to a traditional CD. We help you reach your savings goals by offering a savings vehicle that suits your particular situation. With FLEX CD you get:
- Unlimited deposits
- One monthly withdrawal with no penalty (up to 25% of the principal balance); minimum CD balance requirement applies
- FDIC insured funds up to applicable limits
- Did we mention our great rates?
