About Union Bank
Union Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Union Bankshares, Inc. (UNB, traded on the NASDAQ Exchange). Headquartered in Morrisville, VT, we are a full service bank offering deposit, loan, asset management and commercial banking services throughout northern Vermont and northwestern New Hampshire.
Since our founding in 1891, Union Bank has maintained a strong commitment to, and involvement in, the local community and its success—your success. After being in operation 25 years, we reached $1.5 million dollars in assets, and currently have over $577 million in assets, underscoring our value to the community. We continue to honor that commitment as evidenced by our holding 58.20% of the deposits in Lamoille County according to the FDIC.
Others have recognized Union Bank for its contributions to the community. We scored an “Outstanding” rating on our most recent Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) examination, administered by the FDIC in August 2010. In 1994, the Small Business Administration recognized us as the “most small business user-friendly bank in Vermont,” and we have continually been recognized each year since.
One of our significant milestones occurred in 1999 when Union Bank announced its purchase of Citizens Savings Bank and Trust. This added 4 branches to our network.
Today we are proud to have 18 offices in our service area—13 branches in northern Vermont, four branches in northern New Hampshire, and a Loan Center in South Burlington, Vermont.
Union Bank is dedicated to providing genuine customer service and community support throughout the regions we serve donating tens of thousands of dollars to local nonprofits annually. We are also very proud of the contributions made by our over 150 employees to a variety of community development initiatives. Our commitment to the community and to you—combined with financial expertise, quality products and the latest technology—makes Union Bank the premier choice for your banking services, both personal and commercial.
